Rainbow Family Sites:

Rainbowfamiliesdc.org: www.Rainbowfamiliesdc.org

Rainbow Families DC is a nonprofit organization for all LGBT parents/prospective parents and our allies in the DC Metropolitan region. Rainbow Families brings parents and prospective parents together in several ways: 1) Conduct educational workshops and events—like the Parenting Conferences in 2007 and 2005; 2) Sponsor social gatherings—such as the DC Capital Pride Parade and annual Summer Picnic; 3) Create space for families to connect with each other directly—through its new discussion boards and Yahoo listservs.

ProudParenting.com: www.ProudParenting.com

ProudParenting.com serves as an online portal for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender parents and their families worldwide. Partners, Matthew Skallerud, managing partner of Hyperion Interactive Media, and Kelly Taylor, founder and former publisher of Proud Parenting and Alternative Family magazines, combined their efforts to provide the first worldwide interactive community-based Web site for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender parents and their families.
